4titude Vari-Strips™ and Vari-Plates™

Strips of 8 Low Profile 0.1 ml polypropylene Vari-Strip™ tubes, which can be used with a clear polycarbonate Vari-Plate™ for use in most thermal cyclers.

The strips of 8 tubes are of rigid construction. The thin-walls of these tubes maximise heat transfer and the raised rims facilitate sealing. Low profile tubes have shorter wells than standard profile plates, decreasing the dead space between the heated lid of the thermal cycler and the sample. This eliminates condensation on the side wall of the tube, preventing reduction in PCR volume and increasing the efficiency of the reaction. Low profile products are especially recommended for use with reaction volumes below 20µl.

• Polypropylene ultra-smooth, uniform, thin-walled tubes for optimum PCR and real-time (RT, qPCR) results.• Maximum thermal conductivity for efficient heat transfer and precise thermal cycling.• Raised well rims prevent cross contamination and facilitate effective sealing for reduced evaporation.• Suitable for cap, heat and adhesive sealing.• RNase, DNase, Human Genomic DNA, PCR inhibitor free.• Compatible with low profile, fast block thermal cyclers.• Low bind medical grade virgin polypropylene with no additives.• Polypropylene ultra-smooth, uniform, thin-walled tubes provide the maximum thermal conductivity for efficient heat transfer and precise thermal cycling.• White tubes - For experiments involving fluorescence detection (qPCR), we recommend to use our white plates to maximize signal intensity due to the reflective properties of the white pigment. Well to well cross contamination of signal is prevented.• Subject to a strict QC procedure which includes a visual check and leak testing of every tube.• 100µl tube working volumes, 200µl total volume.• Compatible with standard multichannel pipettes.
